Heading into its fourth year since its establishment in 2015, San Francisco YAD has steadily grown as a group that attracts Bay Area youths from all walks of life. Through educational activities, volunteering opportunities, and social events, YAD members learn to cultivate their individual character and grow with their peers. However, SF YAD has also experienced a lot of change during its time. Many members, some of whom have played vital roles in SF YAD’s foundation, have either returned to their home countries or departed elsewhere to fulfill their aspirations. On the other hand, fresh faces eager to experience the vibrant Bay Area culture and contribute their talents have arrived to breathe new life into SF YAD. Our fundraising concert is named “A New Beginning” to celebrate the accomplishments of those who made SF YAD into what it is today, and welcome those who are currently writing the next chapter in YAD’s history. We thank all of you for your continued support to SF YAD, and will ensure that the spirit of Buddhism will be passed down for generations to come.
