Caring Letter for the Elders 為長者寫一封關懷信
In times of shelter-in-place, where physical interactions have reduced to a minimum, we want to give opportunities for everyone of all ages to show care and concern for another. We hope through the gift of a physical letter can offer comfort, hope, and closeness to our recipients.

About the event
In times of shelter-in-place, where physical interactions have reduced to a minimum, we want to give opportunities for everyone of all ages to show care and concern for another. We hope through the gift of a physical letter can offer comfort, hope and closeness to our recipients.
You may do the following:
- Handwrite the letter and submit a photo here! (strongly encouraged!!) OR
- Type the letter in the box below.
- Submit a photo of you writing the letter in action.
For letters written in English, we will be translating them into Mandarin.

FAQ
Q1) Who will be receiving the letter?
Answer: We will be mailing your letter out to various members of the BLIA subchapters and temple devotees.
Q2) What should I write about, since I do not know who I am writing for?
Answer: Great question. We will write our letter based on any of the 108 Dharma Words by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. Think about why you chose this specific phrase, and how it resonates with you. You can then end by dedicating this Dharma phrase to the letter recipient.

Q3) What will happen to our letters?
Answer: We will be superimposing your letter into the a template (chosen by yours, truly), printing them and physically mailing them out!
Q4) Should I expect a return mail from the recipient(s)?
Answer: As we would like to reduce exposure to the environment to a minimum, we will not be asking the recipient to write a return letter. Instead, we will be requesting them to take a photo of themselves with your letter to show appreciation!
