Online Global Simultaneous Sutra Transcription

May 16 is the anniversary of Fo Guang Shan headquarter, which is founded due to Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s vow and aspiration. Thus, it’s named “Fo Guang Day”. Venerable Master Hsing Yun propagates Humanistic Buddhism, in hope that everyone can practice the “three acts of goodness”, “the four givings”, “the five harmonies”and the “six paramitas” in life. He encourages everyone to have patience, to not forget one’s initial mind and can be compassionate, which ultimately leads to awakening in oneself and others.

To commemorate the founding of Fo Guang Shan on 5/16, all Fo Guang Shan temples around the world will be hosting a "Global Simultaneous Sutra Transcription" event.

We welcome everyone to join us to transcribe the "Heart Sutra" online together at 2PM PST.

Sutras are available in Chinese, English, Children's version, and Virtual (only in Chinese).

You may pick up the sutra from a nearby Fo Guang Shan Temple, Sunnyvale (Selene's place) or have volunteers deliver to your place. 

Registration closes on May 9th.

Please wear one of the following, in order of preferred attire:

• Black Robe (Hai Qing) if you've taken the refuge
• Red YAD shirt/hoodie if you have one
• BLIA Vest with white top

If you don't have any of the above attire, please wear a white top.
